I am a retired 58 year old Divisional Restaurant Manager with certification as a Culinary Chef. I am very proud of the fact that I am a U. S. Navy Veteran of the Viet Nam era. I was forced to retire early due to an accident that injured my spinal cord. I am very active in local politics and I watch the national scene with regard to statewide and federal political office in every state in the union. I have made it a goal to try and encourage activity on everyone's part with regard to their responsibility to vote in every election that effects their day to day lives. Apathy is a no win situation for all and other than doing desktop publishing for some regular clients, it is my number one priority to talk to people hopefully generating enough interest to get people active in participating in the electoral process. It is the only real voice that we have when it comes to the way our government represents us. I also try to always stay active in the Veterans organizations that I belong to having served as an officer in my local chapters of all at one time or the other over the last 35 years.
On Gather, I'm Looking For ...:
Decent civil conversation on a multitude of subjects. This would include conversations between individuals that remain civil no matter how much they may disagree on any issue. Conversation provokes thought. Fights or verbal arguments produce nothing other than ill will among all men and women. You can differ without becoming each other's enemy.
